A B2B Commerce newsletter you don't want to miss
Howdy!
First of all, let me explain why you are on the mailing list. I know, it seems invasive, and you have every right to be pissed at me for adding you to it without asking. I was born in the 1990s, so for me, email is sacred, as it should be, and I promise to pay it the due respect it deserves.
And so, I am gonna put the unsubscribe link right here if you don’t want to hear me blabbering about B2B Commerce, industry trends, being salesy (without being salesy) for our apps (they are pretty cool, tbh).
———————————– CROSS THIS LINE AT YOUR OWN PERIL –––––––––––––––––
Thank you, you made it past. Let’s get into a bit of an introduction. I launched this newsletter because B2B Commerce is becoming boring and stagnant. But at the same time, it is booming. Everyone and their associates (ykwim) is trying to expand their business to sell wholesale.
And that puts us (whether you are an agency, an IT guy at a manufacturing company, or just that stranger I met at Walmart and subscribed to this newsletter myself) at the hallmark of innovation. That’s what my team and I strive to do, every day, while having fun!
So, the soul of this newsletter would always reflect that while we talk about important stuff in the industry, the tech we and everyone else is building for it, and possibly have conversations with each other through this cadence. Oh, and the occasional dad joke…
Holding off from pitching anything on the first edition (trust me, I thought about it thrice!) but I am going to open the floor to all of you folks. Curse me, applaud me, ask me a question, anything.
And before signing off, here are 2 top news from the industry you should know about:
Shopify launched Editions and there was a lot less B2B in it this time
So, what’s up with it? They are focused on agentic commerce, like everyone else but that does not mean B2B is going away. A few weeks ago, they opened up B2B features to lower Shopify plans and that indicates a down-market direction (read: expansion). Nevertheless, for most growing businesses, these features suffice. And there is always tech providers like us to fill the gaps. Read about the full release here.
Shopware and Content Cucumber launched a kick-ass report on mid-market B2B trends
I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed reading a long-ass PDF. The insights are genuinely good. For merchants and agencies alike, there is a lot to learn and a lot to know about the state of commerce and how trends are shaping up in the industry. Give it a read here.
That’s it. Keeping this one super short, until I see you again in 30ish days.
🖖🏼 Live long and prosper!
